Flyovers

Flyovers

Global expertise for local needs.

In recent years, CENTUNION has developed multiple flyovers using different structural typologies, both in roads and in urban areas:

Mixed Steel-Concrete Bridges: : This type of bridge combines the use of steel and concrete by connecting them and making them work together, taking advantage of their respective properties more efficiently. This type of bridge has a main structure made of steel, much lighter than concrete, connected to a reinforced concrete slab on which the wearing layer of the bridge will be placed. Using a steel structure facilitates workshop prefabrication and transport to site, simplifying construction systems, minimizing the use of heavy equipment during the assembly process, and easing the concrete slab installation.

Steel Deck Bridges: : For this type of bridge, CENTUNION has developed a main structure in steel on which modular steel panels are installed. Once connected to the main structure by means of bolted joints, they function as deck and final wearing course as these panels are provided with a non-slip treatment. These steel panels together with the main structure allow for a total prefabrication of the bridge, increasing quality control during the prefabrication phase and exponentially reducing execution times on site.
